Cat Cages

Felines can be great indoor pets. But sometimes they can be terrible as well. Especially when you leave them inside while you're at work, or busy doing something out of the house. Cats are curious and will often get into some sticky situations. Usually they just make a mess of your belongings. Sometimes they will cause some minor damage though.

There are a few ways to deal with it. For instance you can put the cat outside while you are away. Some people don't have that option though. The best solution for those of you who want to keep the cat indoors while you're away is to purchase cat cages.

You will enjoy the peace of mind it brings to you knowing that your cat is safe and not destroying your property while you're gone. Your cat might enjoy being inside the cage as well. Some cages are made to be play pens as well. They have ladders, different platforms, built in toys, and more to entertain your cat. They also provide a comfortable place for your pet to nap.

After a while you'll notice your cat might head inside the cage to play or nap even when you're home. They are also nice when you are visiting family for Thanksgiving or Christmas because you can bring your cat along with you and keep him/her inside the cage.

Midwest 130 Cat Playpen - I am very happy with my new cage. Have 5 cats and they can all fit fairly well and just love it. Reason for getting this particular one was it folds almost flat and will fit in my motor home so when arriving at campgrounds can set it up in a few minutes and they can get fresh air and watch the birds, etc. When at home I take it outside (has wheels) also. The cats just LOVE IT!

4 LEVEL FOLDING FERRET CAT DOG CAGE - This worked wonderfully for our two cats while we were on vacation. There's enough room for their food and water dishes and a midsized litter box on the bottom. It's fairly easy to clean and set up as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, Attractive, Inexpensive Crate - Perfect
IRIS Pet Wire Cat Cage - I love the crate. It is exactly what I wanted, and really sturdy and nicely constructed. I'd be surprised if you can find anything much nicer - no matter how much you pay for it. The fact that this crate is inexpensive only adds to its appeal! My husband and I set it up together (no tools needed) in a half-hour, and it looks nice in our family room. I really like that the two plastic shelves have wire trays underneath them for extra support and security, although they do make a loud sound when the cat jumps on them. I love the drop-pin locks on the doors, which are so easy to use. From the picture, I thought this crate was white, and so anyone considering it should be aware that the cage itself is metal (silver), with off-white trays. I will post a picture that makes the color more apparent.

I work in animal rescue and have used a lot of different kinds of cat crates; this is a perfect choice for someone who is looking for a stationary crate, either in their home or a store, that will be set up and remain set up (which is how I am using it). It would not be a good portable crate because it is heavy and has small parts. It does have wheels on the bottom, though, so it is easy to move around a room once set up.

I would buy this crate again in a heartbeat. It was exactly what I wanted, and at this price, it's truly a steal. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this HIGHLY!!!
